Remove image and PDF metadata in your browser
Photos and documents can contain EXIF details, GPS coordinates, camera information, timestamps, author fields, editing history, and software details. This metadata cleaner inspects JPEG, PNG, WebP, and PDF files and removes supported embedded metadata locally in your browser.
Select one or more files to inspect their metadata, review the cleaning report, and download the cleaned files. Supported image data is preserved without recompression. PDF files are re-serialized, which can change their internal structure; visible content is not redacted.
Supported formats and safe processing
The metadata structures that can be removed depend on the file format. Unknown, malformed, encrypted, password-protected, or digitally signed files may be refused when safe processing cannot be confirmed. Removing metadata does not remove identifying details visible in the image or document.
