Please read these terms carefully before using our browser-based image analysis and metadata removal tools.
1. Provided As-Is
Image Metadata Tools is provided free of charge on an “as-is” and “as-available” basis, without warranty of any kind, express or implied. The maintainers make no representations regarding completeness, accuracy, or suitability for any particular purpose.
2. Supported Formats
This software is engineered to process standard JPEG, static PNG, WebP images, and PDF documents. Submitting unsupported formats, such as HEIC, AVIF, TIFF, animated GIF, or camera RAW, triggers a fail-closed rejection.
3. Operational Limitations
Maximum File Size
Files larger than 25 MB are rejected to prevent browser memory exhaustion.
Integrity Verification
Files with corrupt markers, failing checksums, or conflicting orientation tags are refused.
Steganography
Hidden watermarks or steganographic data encoded directly into pixel values are not analyzed.
4. No Forensic Anonymity Guarantee
Removing metadata strips digital metadata containers (EXIF, IPTC, XMP, and comments), but does not guarantee total anonymity. Content-based recognition, including facial recognition and unique visual backgrounds, remains possible. Do not rely on this utility for life-critical anonymity.
